Co-Presidents
Ethan Yeo
My name is Ethan Yeo and I am the Co-President of Scottie Ventures (SV).
I joined the organization as an analyst in my freshman year and was promoted to VP of Competitions. In my freshman year, I was selected to be part of the competition team that came in first for both the VCIC regional and global finals. Last year, I led the VCIC team through another impressive campaign where we came in second in the regionals. Through Scottie Ventures, I have had the opportunity to expand my professional network to senior management of venture capital firms, growth equities firms, and founders of start-ups. My experience with the club and VCIC has grounded me in deal structuring, due diligence, negotiation and valuation skills.
Outside of Scottie Ventures, I will be interning at Moelis (IB) this summer and have completed past internships at Primavera Capital (PE) and PeakSpan Capital (Growth Equity). Scottie Ventures has provided me with the opportunity to interact with inspiring finance and business leaders and allow me to grow professionally. I am committed to sharing my experience, extending interesting opportunities I come across to the Scottie Ventures community and mentoring aspiring juniors.
Jessica Qiu
My name is Jess Qiu and I am a Co-President of Scottie Ventures.
I joined the organization as an analyst in my freshman year and since then have been a Co-VP of Recruitment & Professional Development and both a spring analyst and associate for PeakSpan Capital. In these roles, I’ve had the opportunity to oversee Scottie Ventures’ yearly recruitment processes and establish professional development workshops for our new analysts; at PeakSpan, I’ve been able to do work surrounding company due diligence and advocating for future investments.
Outside of Scottie Ventures, I most recently interned at PwC Strategy & on their Private Equity Value Creation team. I’m very grateful for my time in SV thus far, as I’ve been able to grow both personally and professionally alongside some amazing people, and I hope to continue supporting our future classes of analysts.
